Balanced adhesive strength
The tape adheres and holds well during work but when removed correctly does not tear most solid, cured and cohesive substrates unnecessarily.
Professional blue masking tape Blue UV for precise lines when applying microcement, painting and finishing works. It has balanced adhesion, holds well and when removed correctly is gentle on most solid, cured substrates. Available in widths of 25, 38 and 48 mm, in rolls of 25 or 50 m.
Blue UV · professional masking tape · 6 size options
Professional masking tape for protecting adjacent surfaces and creating clean edges when applying microcement, coatings and other finishing materials. It adheres well to a suitably prepared substrate, reduces material bleed-through and when removed correctly leaves a straight, precise line.
Precise finishing work
High-quality masking significantly influences the final appearance of microcement and paint. The tape helps create a straight working edge, protects adjacent materials from contamination and reduces time required for cleaning or detail corrections afterwards.
The tape adheres and holds well during work but when removed correctly does not tear most solid, cured and cohesive substrates unnecessarily.
When pressed firmly the tape defines a straight edge and limits penetration of more liquid materials underneath.
Three widths allow for precise masking of details as well as creating a wider protective zone around the work area.
Use in microcement system
For microcement work the tape is used not only to protect surroundings but also to define the exact applied area. It is suitable for decorative walls, bathrooms, kitchen backsplashes, floors, stairs and furniture.
Six available variants
Narrower tapes are suitable for details and complex surfaces. Wider options create a larger protective zone along floors, worktops, frames or skirtings.
Roll length 25 or 50 m. Suitable for corners, niches, short sections and precise masking.
Roll length 25 or 50 m. Practical for typical microcement projects and painting work.
Roll length 25 or 50 m. For floors, skirtings, frames, worktops and large areas.
Interior and protected exterior
Blue UV is suitable for professional and DIY finishing work. Its UV resistance broadens its use to areas exposed to daylight. However, always verify suitability for a specific surface by testing.
Edge definition, protection of adjacent materials and division of working areas.
Creating colour transitions, protecting trims, frames, sockets and other details.
Short-term protection of suitable smooth and solid surfaces against contamination.
Correct tape application
Surface must be dry, clean, degreased and dust-free before application. Dirt beneath the tape reduces adhesion and may cause bleed-through of applied material.
Verify its cohesion and test adhesion and removal on a sensitive spot.
Unroll smoothly and follow the desired line precisely. Excessive tension may cause deviation or peeling.
Use your finger or a suitable plastic spatula to press the edge facing the applied material.
Spread the material from the masked edge into the surface area. This limits pushing material under the tape.
Do not leave it covered by fully cured material unnecessarily. Peel it back steadily at a slight angle.
Safe use
The tape has balanced adhesive strength and adheres well to most solid, dry and cured substrates without damaging them if removed correctly. On fresh paints, varnishes, plasters, wallpapers, wood and other sensitive materials the wrong tape or long application time may cause surface damage.
Test before extensive use. Result depends on temperature, sunlight, humidity, substrate age and time left on the surface.
When applying microcement, ensure no thick hardened layer forms on the tape. This can cause chipping or irregular edges on removal.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. It can be used to define areas, protect surrounding surfaces and create precise edges. Always test first on the specific substrate.
25 mm is suitable for details, 38 mm for universal use and 48 mm for wider protection along floors, worktops, frames or skirtings.
The tape properties are the same. 25 m is practical for smaller jobs; 50 m offers a more economical supply for larger or repeated projects.
When applied correctly with firm edge pressing, it significantly limits bleed-through. The result also depends on substrate evenness, material consistency and application method.
The tape is UV resistant and therefore better suited than standard indoor tape for areas exposed to daylight. The duration left outdoors should always be adjusted to conditions and the specific surface.
Remove it when a clean edge can be created without smudging, but before a thick fully cured layer forms over the tape.
Yes, especially if the substrate is fresh, unstable or sensitive. Therefore, testing on a less visible area is necessary before use.
Peel it slowly and steadily at a slight angle. Abrupt ripping increases the risk of damaging the substrate or edge.
Precise masking without unnecessary corrections
For details choose 25 mm, for universal use 38 mm and for wider edge protection 48 mm. Each width is available in 25 or 50 m rolls.
