Stand-alone materials for microcement
CimentArt stand-alone materials are designed for customers who do not want a complete set but need to supplement a specific layer of the system. Here you will find microcement screeds, materials for substrate preparation, varnishes, sealers, impregnations and pigments.
This category serves as a directory to individual system products. If you know exactly which layer you need, you can order materials separately according to your specific project.
Choose material according to the application stage
Microcement is a multi-layer system. Each layer has its function, so select the material based on the stage of your application.
- Concrete screeds and microcement – Stand-alone buckets of microcement screeds, such as base and final layers of the system. Suitable for topping up material or custom layering.
- Substrate preparation – Primers, reinforcing materials and products for strengthening, stabilising and preparing the substrate before microcement application.
- Varnishes, impregnations and sealers – Materials for pore sealing and final protection of microcement against water, dirt, grease and everyday use.
- Pigments and shades – Pigments for tinting microcement to the desired shade according to the chosen layering and surface type.
When to choose stand-alone materials?
Stand-alone materials are mainly useful when you already know the correct layering, are topping up a particular product, or the application is carried out by an experienced installer. They are also suitable for tradespeople and companies who work with microcement regularly.
- Supplementing a specific layer – for example, when you need to purchase extra microcement, sealer, varnish or pigment.
- Custom system layering – suitable for more experienced applicators who know exactly which layers they require.
- Larger or successive projects – practical when topping up materials for an additional room, details, stairs or repairs.
Complete set or stand-alone material?
Complete set recommended if you are new to microcement or want to be sure of the correct layering according to the usage type — for example for bathrooms, showers, floors or kitchens.
Stand-alone material choose this if you know exactly what you need to supplement. Randomly mixing layers from different systems is not advised, as material compatibility affects adhesion, appearance and long-term surface durability.
Frequently asked questions about stand-alone materials
When should I buy stand-alone material instead of a complete set?
Choose stand-alone material if you know exactly which system layer you need, are topping up material or working according to your own proven layering system.
Is it enough to buy just the microcement screed?
In most cases no. Microcement works as a multi-layer system. Besides the screed itself, substrate preparation, pore sealing and final protection with varnish or sealer are important.
Can I mix materials from different manufacturers?
We do not recommend this. With microcement, chemical compatibility of individual layers is important. Mixing different systems can impair adhesion, appearance, water resistance and surface durability.
How do I know which material I need?
Base your choice on the type of project, substrate and application stage. Different materials are required for substrate preparation, the final decorative layer and protection of the finished surface.
Can you help me choose the right layering?
Yes. Send us details of the space type, area size, substrate condition and whether you are topping up a specific layer or building the entire system. We will recommend suitable materials and procedures.
