Aqua Nature · complete exterior set · floors and walls
Complete CimentArt Aqua Nature microcement system for outdoor floors and walls. It creates a seamless surface with a natural concrete appearance, minimal build-up thickness, and the option to create a subtle anti-slip texture on walking surfaces using a roller.
Uniform surface for outdoor spaces
Microcement allows you to visually unify outdoor floors, steps, plinths, and adjoining walls with one material solution. The surface has no tiling joints and its final pattern is created by hand with a trowel.
One system can unify terraces, entrances, outdoor steps, plinths, or adjoining decorative walls.
A continuous surface without a regular grid of joints feels calmer and emphasises the simple exterior architecture.
On walking areas, the final layer can be applied with a roller to create a more pronounced texture for better anti-slip properties.
System applications
The set is designed for solid, stable, and properly prepared outdoor substrates, where a continuous mineral surface with a natural concrete pattern is required.
Walkable outdoor surfaces
On terraces, steps, and other walkable areas, the final protective layer can be applied with a roller to create a subtle texture. The surface is less smooth than when finished without visible texture and better meets outdoor usage demands.
The final profile is influenced by the roller type, amount of lacquer applied, pressure and consistency of the work.
Before covering the entire area, we recommend testing the texture on a sample and checking its appearance and feel underfoot.
Manual texturing improves surface character but does not constitute a laboratory-certified slip resistance classification.
Complete system layers
The set contains related materials to create a base microcement layer, the final concrete pattern, and double-layer surface protection. Gela Cryl TR100 is not used in this system.
| 1× Primer Plus | unifies absorbency and improves adhesion to the prepared substrate |
|---|---|
| 1× Aqua Base | base microcement layer to unify the surface and create a solid foundation |
| 1× Aqua Nature | final decorative microcement layer with natural mineral and concrete patterns |
| 2× 2K PU lacquer | double-layer final surface protection; on floors a delicate anti-slip texture can be created by roller application |
| Overall thickness | approximately 1.5 to 2 mm depending on substrate flatness and preparation method |
Outdoor application requires stable weather, dry substrate and protection of fresh layers against rain, dew, direct sunlight and contamination.
Basic overview
The following steps provide a basic overview. Exact technological breaks, sanding, suitable conditions and application methods should always be verified in the current technical datasheets of the individual materials.
The substrate must be solid, stable, flat, dry, cohesive and free of active cracks. Horizontal surfaces must have slope, waterproofing and drainage resolved in advance.
The primer unifies absorbency of the prepared substrate and creates suitable conditions for proper bonding with the Aqua Base layer.
The base microcement layer unifies the surface and provides a strong foundation for the final decorative screed.
Final microcement is applied thinly with a steel trowel. The way the trowel is handled determines the final pattern of the floor or wall.
The first protective coat seals the microcement surface continuously and prepares it for the final finish.
The final coat completes the protection. On walkable surfaces, a textured anti-slip finish can be created by roller application.
Critical point in installation
Microcement is a thin-layer surface finish that reflects substrate behaviour. Active cracks, structural movement, poorly resolved joints or residual moisture can also appear in the final surface.
Horizontal outdoor surfaces must have functional slope and drainage. Water must not remain on the surface or within the structure long-term. The microcement set does not replace waterproofing, movement joint solutions or repair of unstable structures.
Structural and movement joints must not be overlapped arbitrarily. Edges, penetrations, connections to façades, railings, doors and drainage elements must be resolved before applying decorative layers.
Outdoor application
Outdoor application is more sensitive to ambient conditions than indoor work. Intense sun, rain, dew, wind and rapid temperature changes can affect processing and final appearance.
Do not start application if rain, dew, frost or significant temperature changes are expected during drying.
Heated substrate and direct sunlight can shorten working time and cause uneven curing.
Protection against the weather must prevent contact with water and dirt but allow safe ventilation.
Long-term protection
Regular removal of dirt and checking drainage helps preserve appearance and function of the final protective layer.
Coarse dirt can act as an abrasive during walking or furniture movement and gradually damage the protective lacquer.
Regularly check gutters, drains and water outlets to prevent long-standing puddles on the surface.
Use water, a soft brush or mop, and suitable non-abrasive cleaners. Avoid aggressive solvents and abrasive tools.
Video and application procedure
The video shows basic work with microcement materials. For exterior applications, it is also necessary to properly resolve substrate, waterproofing, slope, drainage and weather protection of fresh layers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The composition is designed for stable and properly prepared outdoor horizontal and vertical surfaces. For floors, sloping, waterproofing and drainage must be properly resolved.
The system composition includes Primer Plus, Aqua Base, Aqua Nature and two coats of two-component PU lacquer. Gela Cryl TR100 is not part of this exterior system.
A fine anti-slip texture can be created by the method of applying the final PU lacquer layer using a suitable roller. We recommend testing the result on a sample beforehand.
No, unless a laboratory report is explicitly provided for a specific variant. Roller texturing improves surface characteristics but does not constitute an official declaration of an anti-slip rating.
No. Microcement is a final surface finish. Waterproofing, slope, drainage, expansion joints and construction details must be properly resolved before applying the set.
Only after assessing its stability and the entire substrate. The tiling must not be loose, hollow or cracked and the construction must have functional waterproofing, appropriate slope and expansion joint solutions.
Yes, provided the stairs are stable, correctly sloped and edges, connections and water drainage are properly addressed. A textured finish is recommended on the tread surfaces.
The total system thickness is usually approximately between 1.5 and 2 mm, depending on substrate flatness and preparation method.
No. Application requires stable conditions and protection against rain, dew, intense sunlight, wind and unsuitable temperatures during processing and drying.
Regularly remove sand, leaves and other debris. Use water, a soft brush or mop and non-abrasive cleaning agents.
No. Like other outdoor surfaces, it requires cleaning, drainage checks and ongoing inspection of the final protective layer’s condition.
Add together the area of all floors and walls and add approximately 5% extra. For stairs, edges and complex details, allow for higher consumption.
