Aqua Nature · complete set for decorative walls · natural concrete look
Complete CimentArt Aqua Nature microcement system for decorative walls in residential and commercial interiors. It creates a continuous surface without joints with a natural mineral pattern and medium-fine texture achieved by manual trowelling.
Distinctive material surface
Microcement does not create a repetitive pattern like wallpaper nor a uniform surface like ordinary paint. Subtle differences in pattern, shade and texture give the wall a natural character and visual depth.
The final appearance is created by the trowel technique. Each application area is therefore unique.
A continuous surface without tiling joints, visible seams and repetitive decoration creates a calm and unified look.
The pore filler and final two-component varnish seal the surface and facilitate regular maintenance.
Natural mineral character
Aqua Nature creates a more visible mineral pattern than very fine skims. The surface can appear calm and homogeneous or more distinctly concrete-like depending on the application technique, sanding and selected shade.
System usage
The set is designed mainly for dry interior walls where a distinctive material feature is desired or larger areas are to be unified without joints.
Walls behind TVs, sofas, dining tables, fireplaces or in adjoining open spaces.
Bed heads, niches, staircase walls, entrance areas and other visually prominent surfaces.
Receptions, offices, showrooms, restaurants, shops and feature walls.
Complete layer system
The set includes successive layers necessary to create a stable microcement substrate, final decorative pattern and washable surface protection.
| 1× Primer Plus | to unify absorbency and improve adhesion to the prepared substrate |
|---|---|
| 1× Aqua Base | base microcement layer to unify the surface and create a firm foundation |
| 1× Aqua Nature | final decorative microcement layer with natural concrete pattern |
| 1× Gela Cryl TR100 | pore filler, absorbency unification and surface preparation for final varnish |
| 2× 2K PU protection | final protection against common dirt, abrasion and wet cleaning |
| Total thickness | approximately 1.5 to 2 mm depending on the evenness and preparation method of the substrate |
The PDF includes substrate preparation, layer sequence, recommended sanding, drying times and instructions for correct surface completion.
Basic overview
The following steps are a basic overview. Always verify exact technological pauses, sanding and application technique in the latest application manual.
The substrate must be firm, cohesive, even, dry and free of dust, grease, loose layers and active cracks.
Primer Plus unifies the absorbency of the prepared substrate and creates conditions for proper bonding with the Aqua Base layer.
The base microcement layer unifies the surface and creates a firm foundation for the final decorative skim.
The final microcement is applied with a steel trowel in a thin layer. The direction, length and overlapping of strokes determine the final wall pattern.
One continuous layer of pore filler closes the microporous structure and prepares the surface for the final protection.
After the filler dries, two prescribed layers of two-component polyurethane varnish are applied.
Critical point of application
Microcement is a thin-layer surface finish and replicates the condition of the substrate. Irregularities, active cracks, movable joints or poorly repaired transitions may also show through on the finished surface.
For drywall, the structure must be stable and joints properly reinforced. Plasters and skim substrates must be sufficiently cured, cohesive, even and dust-free.
When applying on existing tiles, the tiles must be firmly adhered and not hollow-sounding. The surface must be degreased, roughened and the joints filled to prevent them appearing through the final pattern.
Checking the final pattern
For decorative skim coats, continuity of strokes and uniform application are important. Proper preparation helps reduce visible transitions and unwanted pattern differences.
Before starting, have the tools, materials, lighting and safe access to all parts of the wall ready.
Do not change trowel pressure, stroke length or smoothing intensity unintentionally. Changes may affect the pattern.
Regularly observe the surface from different angles and side lighting, not just close up.
Routine maintenance
The final two-component protection creates a sealed and washable surface. Gentle maintenance helps preserve its appearance and extends the protective layer’s lifespan.
Use a soft non-abrasive material for routine cleaning that will not scratch the protective varnish.
Water and mild non-abrasive cleaner with neutral pH are suitable.
Do not use wire wool, abrasive powders, concentrated acids or aggressive solvents.
Video and application process
The video shows practical work with individual materials. Always follow the latest PDF application manual for substrate preparation, layer sequence, sanding and drying times.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. The medium-fine texture and natural mineral pattern are suitable for feature and full-surface interior walls.
The decorative wall set includes one coat of Gela Cryl TR100. This seals micropores, unifies absorbency, and prepares the surface for two layers of the final PU 2K lacquer.
Yes. The final pattern is created by hand application and is influenced by the direction of strokes, pressure of the trowel, sanding, shade, and lighting of the space.
Yes, provided the structure is stable, joints are properly reinforced, and the surface is flat, firm, and suitably prepared.
Yes, if the tiling is firmly adhered and does not resonate. The surface must be thoroughly degreased, roughened, and joints and other unevenness fully levelled.
Yes. Once the final two-component lacquer is properly cured, the surface can be gently cleaned with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner.
This system is not designed for permanently wet zones. For a shower enclosure, choose a bathroom set with the appropriate system and substrate preparation.
No. This variant is intended for decorative walls. For floors, a floor set with the required consumption and protective layers must be used.
The total system thickness typically ranges between approximately 1.5 and 2 mm depending on substrate flatness and preparation method.
Yes. Both Aqua Base and Aqua Nature are single-component microcements supplied in a paste consistency. They should be thoroughly mixed before application.
Ready-to-use materials simplify application, but the final appearance depends on technique. We recommend creating a sample before completing the entire wall.
Multiply the width and height of all surfaces to be coated, add the results, and include roughly a 5% surplus.
Order the complete system
Choose the variant according to the size of the wall to be completed. The set includes subsequent layers necessary for creating the decorative microcement surface.
