Microcement Screeds

Samostatné mikrocementové a betonové stěrky CimentArt v kbelících pro podkladové i finální vrstvy systému. Vhodné pro doplnění materiálu, vlastní skladbu nebo zkušené aplikátory, kteří přesně vědí, jakou vrstvu potřebují.

Which microcement screed to choose?

Aqua Base

Base microcement screed. Serves as the foundational layer of the system for unifying the substrate and preparing it before the final decorative screed.

Aqua Nature

Final microcement screed. Creates the finished decorative surface with a natural concrete appearance for bathrooms, showers, floors and walls.

Aqua Microconcrete

Different surface character. A suitable choice if you are looking for a different texture, fineness or appearance of the final microcement layer.

Individual microcement screeds in buckets

Individual microcement screeds are intended for customers who do not want a complete set but need a specific material in a full pack. In this category you will find full buckets of microcement for base and final layers of the system.

These materials make sense especially if you already know the correct composition, are topping up a missing layer, work as a contractor, or want to combine microcement according to a specific technical solution.

When to buy an individual bucket of microcement?

Top-up material for an ongoing project

An individual bucket is suitable if you are missing a specific microcement layer during application or need to purchase material for a larger surface, intricate details, stairs, niches, or adjacent surfaces.

Assembling your own microcement system

If you know exactly which layers you need, you can assemble the system from individual materials. This is especially suitable for more experienced applicators, tradespeople and contractors.

Working with a specific system layer

Some products serve as base microcement screeds, others as final decorative layers. When choosing, it is important to know whether you need a base layer, final screed or material for a specific surface appearance.

Testing material before a larger project

If you are unsure about working with the material, you can first select a smaller trial sample. Full pack buckets are intended for actual implementation according to the required area and composition.

What is the difference between Aqua Base and Aqua Nature?

Aqua Base is a base microcement screed. It is used in the basic part of the system where it helps prepare and unify the surface before the final decorative layer. It is not the main visible layer on which the final shade and effect are selected.

Aqua Nature is the final microcement screed that creates the final surface appearance. This is where the shade, pattern, texture, hand application and the concrete character of the microcement are most apparent.

Why is it not enough to buy only the final screed?

Microcement is not a universal compound applied directly to any substrate. The correct result depends on the full layering — substrate preparation, base screed, final decorative layer, pore sealing and protective lacquer or sealer.

If you omit an important layer, adhesion, appearance, durability, water resistance and lifespan of the surface may deteriorate. For bathrooms, showers, kitchens and floors, we therefore recommend following the proven system composition.

Where can microcement screeds be used?

Bathrooms and showers

Microcement screeds can be applied to walls, floors, niches, around baths and showers. In damp environments it is essential to use a complete system with quality final protection.

Floors and stairs

On floors and stairs a firm, stable and properly prepared substrate is crucial. Microcement screed creates a continuous surface without traditional joints but cannot replace a poor or cracking substrate.

Kitchens and splashbacks

In kitchens, microcement is mainly used on splashbacks behind worktops, walls and decorative areas. Correct sealing and surface protection are vital in areas behind sinks and hobs.

Walls, furniture and decorative surfaces

Microcement is also suitable for visible walls, counters, shelves, claddings, furniture elements and other firm substrates where you want to create a modern concrete effect.

Choosing 5 kg or 20 kg packaging

Individual microcement screeds are usually selected based on the project size, layer type and planned consumption. Smaller packs are suitable for topping up material, smaller areas or details. Larger packs make sense for more extensive projects, floors, bathrooms or commercial spaces.

When calculating consumption, consider not only the net surface area in m² but also the complexity of the space, substrate absorbency, application losses, stairs, edges and details. For individual materials it is better to have the composition and consumption planned in advance.

Who are individual microcement screeds suitable for?

Individual buckets of microcement are ideal for contractors, tradespeople and customers who already have experience with microcement or know exactly which layer they need. They are also suitable for topping up material on larger orders.

If you are starting out with microcement and do not know which layers to order, a complete set according to use — for example for a bathroom, shower, floor or kitchen — will be more practical.

Frequently asked questions about individual microcement screeds

When should I buy an individual microcement screed?

Buy an individual screed when you know exactly which system layer you need, are topping up material or assembling the system yourself. If you are beginning, a complete set is safer.

What is the difference between Aqua Base and Aqua Nature?

Aqua Base is a base microcement screed. Aqua Nature is the final decorative screed that creates the final appearance, shade and surface character.

Is it enough to buy only Aqua Nature for the project?

In most cases, no. Aqua Nature is the final layer but correct application requires substrate preparation, base layer, pore sealing and final surface protection.

Is microcement screed suitable for bathrooms?

Yes, but in bathrooms it must be used as a complete system with suitable substrate preparation and a protective layer. The screed alone without final protection is not sufficient.

Can microcement screed be applied over old tiles?

Yes, if the tiles are firm, cohesive and not hollow. The surface must be degreased, prepared and unified with a suitable base layer.

Which packaging of microcement should I choose?

It depends on the area, layer type and planned consumption. Smaller packs are suitable for topping up material or smaller areas, larger packs for larger projects.

Is an individual bucket suitable for DIY application?

Yes, if you know the correct composition and procedure. If applying microcement for the first time, we recommend a complete set, trial set or application training.

Can I combine microcement with products from other manufacturers?

We do not recommend this. With microcement, layer compatibility is important. Combining different systems can reduce adhesion, appearance, durability and surface lifespan.

Not sure which microcement screed to choose?

Send us the type of project, surface area, substrate condition and whether you are topping up a specific layer or assembling the entire system. We will recommend suitable material, packaging and subsequent layers.
