Can microcement be sanded by hand?

Microcement can be sanded both by hand and machine, but always with care. For larger surfaces, an orbital sander with low to medium speed and diamond pads is suitable. The goal is to remove protrusions, not to sand through the decorative layer. Corners and repairs are often better controlled manually. For hand sanding, diamond pads mounted on a sanding block can be used.
