Microcement and concrete coatings CimentArt

Microcement coating creates a continuous decorative surface without common joints and with minimal construction height. CimentArt systems can be applied on walls, floors, stairs, bathrooms, shower areas, kitchens and furniture. Depending on the chosen material, the resulting surface can be smooth, fine or distinctly mineral.

We offer complete microcement systems from 1 m². The individual layers are designed to follow each other technologically – from substrate preparation through base and decorative coatings to sealing the surface and final protective lacquer.

Smooth or naturally textured microcement coating

The final appearance of the microcement depends on the material's grain size, application method, sanding and chosen final protection. The individual CimentArt systems mainly differ in surface texture:

  • Aqua Microconcrete – smoother coating with a finer and calmer visual effect.
  • Aqua Nature – coarser coating that creates a natural mineral texture and a more pronounced hand-drawn pattern.
  • Aqua Quartz – very fine surface suitable for clean and minimalist interiors.

Choose the microcement system according to application

The suitable composition is selected according to substrate type, load, water contact and desired appearance. Decorative walls require different protection than floors or shower areas.

  • Microcement for bathrooms and showers – complete systems for walls, floors and shower enclosures. A correctly executed system enables the creation of a continuous surface without common joints.
  • Microcement for floors and stairs – systems designed for mechanically loaded surfaces, underfloor heating and adjoining structures. Construction joints in the substrate must be maintained. Sets are currently being prepared. Please contact us for individual pricing.
  • Microcement for kitchens and walls – decorative surfaces for kitchen backsplashes, walls, worktops and furniture. Final resistance to water, grease and cleaning agents is ensured by suitable final protection. Sets are currently being prepared.
  • Microcement for exterior use – systems for terraces, balconies, façade elements and outdoor stairs. For exterior use, a stable substrate, correct drainage and protection matching climatic exposure are crucial. Sets are currently being prepared.

Advantages of the complete microcement system

Combining materials from different manufacturers can cause problems with adhesion, drying or compatibility of individual layers. A complete system limits these risks and simplifies the selection of required materials.

  • Compatible layer composition – primer, base coat, decorative surface and protective lacquer are designed for joint use.
  • Quantity according to area – select the set based on the actual size of the project area.
  • Less unused material – no need to purchase large packages of all products separately.
  • Automatic quantity discount – discount up to 20 % is automatically applied in the basket depending on order value.

What determines the result of the microcement coating

The lifespan of the surface is not determined only by the final decorative layer. Crucial are the strength and stability of the substrate, proper preparation, technological pauses, method of application and appropriate protective lacquer. Microcement cannot reliably cover moving cracks, hollow tiles or incorrectly executed joints.

Frequently asked questions about microcement coatings and sets

What does a complete microcement set contain?

The specific content depends on the place of use and type of substrate. The set usually includes primer, base coat, final decorative microcement, pore sealer and final protective lacquer.

What is the difference between Aqua Microconcrete and Aqua Nature?

Aqua Microconcrete creates a smoother and finer surface. Aqua Nature is a coarser coating with a natural mineral texture and a more pronounced hand-drawn pattern.

How to correctly calculate the amount of material?

Enter the quantity according to the net area in m². For complex spaces, shower niches or stairs, we recommend adding a reserve of approximately 5–10 %.

Can microcement be applied over existing tiles?

Yes, if the tiles are firmly fixed and the substrate is properly cleaned, degreased, levelled and prepared. Loose or hollow tiles must be removed before application.

Where can I view microcement samples in person?

Samples of surfaces and shades are available in our e-shop showroom in Střelice near Brno. Practical training sessions for craftsmen and end customers are also held at the same location.
